Hautnah und mittendrin: Oper anders erleben. Das OPERNFEST ist ein sommerliches Festival beliebter Opern, aufgeführt an altehrwürdigen und außergewöhnlichen Spielstätten mit ureigener Atmosphäre in Berlin. Als Zuschauer befinden Sie sich inmitten des Geschehens, mal ist die Bühne nur wenige Zentimeter von Ihnen entfernt, mal wechselt sie plötzlich während des Stücks ihre Position.
Im zehnten Jahr nun richtet die Berlin Opera Academy im Sommer das OPERNFEST aus. Hier kommen junge Talente aus 30 verschiedenen Ländern zusammen, viele von ihnen kommen von einigen der besten Ausbildungsstätten im Bereich der klassischen Musik, wie Juilliard School New York, Royal College of Music London oder Indiana University. Einige Teilnehmer haben das Studium bereits abgeschlossen, andere sind noch in der Ausbildung. Aber alle von ihnen sind hier, um sich weiterzubilden, auszutauschen, Kontakte zu knüpfen und natürlich um ihr Können vor Publikum zu präsentieren. Bevor es aber soweit ist, absolvieren die neuen Talente ein vierwöchiges Intensivprogramm an der Berlin Opera Academy. Hier erhalten sie von hochkarätigen Dozenten ein umfassendes Gesangs-, Theater- und Musikcoaching und studieren eine vollszenische Opernproduktion ein. Zur Präsentation der Ergebnisse dieses Intensivtrainings wurde das OPERNFEST entwickelt.
Das OPERNFEST unterstützt junge Darsteller auf ihrem Weg, sich im Bereich der klassischen Oper zu professionalisieren. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, das intensive Sommerprogramm in Berlin zu nutzen, um ihr Können weiterzuentwickeln und wertvolle praktische Erfahrung zu sammeln. Durch die zeitgenössischen Inszenierungen zielt das Programm darauf ab, frischen Wind in die Welt der Klassik zu bringen und auch ein bisher nicht opernaffines Publikum für die Schönheit und Faszination der Oper zu begeistern. Ein derartiges außergewöhnliches Programm mit internationaler Besetzung in Verbindung mit spannenden Inszenierungen - das OPERNFEST zeigt Ihnen hier die Oper als ganz neues Erlebnis.
